Frequently Asked Questions
Questions people ask before they get in touch
If yours is not here, ask it directly — that is what a consultation is for.
An independent broker works with you rather than for a single insurance company. The job is to understand your situation, explain how the available options differ, help you compare them, and support you through the application process. You decide what to do with the information.
Yes. There is no charge to talk with Darren about your situation or to request a quote. There is also no obligation to apply for anything.
No. Palmer Health & Life is an independent brokerage, which means Darren can present options from more than one carrier rather than being limited to a single company's products. The specific carriers and plans available to you depend on your location, your eligibility, and current carrier appointments.
To get started, all that is required is your first name, last name, phone number, email address, and ZIP code.
Optional details — such as household size, general age range, budget range, and what you want the coverage to do — make the conversation more useful, but you can leave them blank. Sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, banking details, and medical records is never collected through this website.
Darren personally follows up with everyone who submits a request. Response time depends on when your request comes in and how many people are ahead of you. If your situation is time-sensitive — for example, coverage that is ending soon — say so in the notes and it will be prioritized.
Yes. Comparing available options side by side is one of the main reasons people work with a broker. Darren can walk through how the options differ on cost, coverage, networks, and trade-offs so you can weigh them against your own priorities.
Yes. Palmer Health & Life helps with both health insurance and life insurance. Many people start with one and later ask about the other, and it is fine to discuss both in the same conversation.
No. Submitting a form on this website is a request to be contacted. It does not enroll you in any plan, does not bind coverage, and does not guarantee approval, pricing, benefits, or eligibility.
Enrolling in coverage is a separate step that happens through the insurance carrier's own application process.
Coverage is not active until an application has been submitted to the insurance carrier, all of that carrier's requirements have been completed, the carrier has approved the application, and the carrier confirms the effective date. Nothing on this website makes coverage effective.
Requesting a quote through this website does not involve a credit check and does not affect your credit score. If a specific carrier's formal application later involves any kind of review, that will be explained to you before it happens.
Your information is used to contact you and to prepare quotes or discuss coverage options. It is not sold.
It may be shared with insurance carriers when you ask Darren to obtain a quote or submit an application on your behalf, and with service providers that help operate the business. You can request correction or deletion of your information at any time. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
