Our Commitment
Palmer Health & Life is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology. Insurance information should be accessible to everyone who needs it.
Standard We Aim For
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
What We Have Done
- Semantic headings and landmark regions so screen readers can navigate the page structure
- A skip link that jumps directly to the main content
- Full keyboard operability, including the navigation menu, mobile menu, accordions, and all forms
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA for text and interface components
- A visible text label for every form field — placeholder text is never used as a substitute for a label
- Error messages that are programmatically linked to the field they describe, and that do not rely on color alone
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and empty alternative text for decorative images
- Support for the operating system's reduced-motion setting
- Touch targets sized for comfortable use on a phone
Known Limitations
Third-party content, such as an embedded scheduling tool, may not fully meet the same standard. If you have difficulty scheduling online, please call or email and we will schedule with you directly.
